Itinerary
Welcome to Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei! Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel to freshen up and relax.
We will embark on a city tour in the evening, starting with a delicious dinner at a local restaurant. After dinner, we will take a panoramic drive through the city, crossing the majestic RIPAS Bridge and passing Sultan's palace, the Istana Nurul Iman. We will stop by the Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, one of the most magnificent mosques in the region, and marvel at its grandeur and beauty. We will end the night at the vibrant Gadong night market, a bustling hub of local food, culture, and commerce. You will have the opportunity to sample a variety of local delicacies, shop for souvenirs and clothing, and immerse yourself in the market's vibrant atmosphere.

Our exploration of Bandar Seri Begawan begins after breakfast with a visit to the Lapau and Dewan Majlis, two iconic landmarks reflecting Brunei's rich culture and heritage. The next stop is Tamu Kianggeh, a traditional market on the Kianggeh River. We will also visit the Malay Technology Museum, which displays traditional crafts and skills from ancient Brunei, such as boat-making, metalworking, and goldsmithing. Afterward, we will visit the Tomb of Sultan Bolkiah, the 5th Sultan of Brunei, and the Royal Regalia Museum. Here, you can admire the regalia and artifacts of the Sultan. Our next highlight is the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, a magnificent mosque named after the current ruler's father. After lunch, we will embark on a boat ride along the Brunei River to Kampong Ayer, the "Venice of the East." The village has a fascinating history and culture that we will explore as we walk along wooden paths and bridges. We will also enjoy traditional cakes and tea at a local house. We will then visit the Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, with a Middle Eastern-inspired interior and local accents. We will end our tour at Nurul Iman Palace, the largest living residence of a head of state in the world. Enjoy a delightful dinner before returning to our hotel.

Today, we'll take a 1.5-hour drive from Bandar Seri Begawan to reach Seria, the heart of Brunei's oil industry. As we drive along mostly dual highways, you'll catch glimpses of Brunei's rural countryside. Our first stop is the Seria Energy Lab, a flagship program by Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd that aims to promote science literacy in the country. The center's exhibition gallery showcases over 100 exhibits that cover various facets of Science, Technology, and Brunei's hydrocarbons industry. You'll find the visit both educational and entertaining. Next, we visit the Billionth Barrel Monument, an arch built in 1991 to mark the production of the billionth barrel of crude oil in Seria. As we pass Brunei Shell Petroleum's headquarters, you'll also see the Dutch community accommodation quarters and recreational facilities. We'll then proceed to Kuala Belait for lunch and free time to explore this unique small town before returning to Bandar Seri Begawan. We'll stop by the Jerudong Park area on our way back for a photo opportunity. Note that this area is only open in the evenings.

After breakfast, we will check out from your hotel and head to the airport for our flight to Kuala Lumpur, the bustling capital of Malaysia that offers a unique blend of cultures. Our driver will meet us at the airport and transfer us to our hotel upon arrival. The remainder of the day is free to explore the city at your own pace and get acquainted with its rich cultural heritage and modern vibe.

After breakfast, get ready for a full-day tour that will showcase the contrasting facets of Kuala Lumpur - from its modern-day glamour to its rich cultural heritage. Our first stop will be at the Petronas Twin Towers, where you can take pictures of one of the tallest buildings in the world. Next, we'll head to the Batu Caves, a stunning limestone hill with caves and temples revered by the Hindu community. Climb the 272 steps to the temple of Lord Murugan and enjoy breathtaking views of the city skyline. Our next stop will be at the Royal Selangor Pewter factory, where you can learn about the production techniques this world-renowned pewter maker uses. Take a guided tour of the factory and see how the raw material is transformed into beautiful souvenirs. Later, we'll visit Independence Square and Kuala Lumpur City Gallery, a small museum that provides an engaging insight into the history and culture of KL. See the scale model of Merdeka Square and the impressive modern city model on display. Then, we'll proceed to the National Mosque, an architectural marvel blends traditional Islamic design elements with a modern flair. Admire the multi-fold umbrella-like roof and the 240 feet high minaret.

We'll head to Putrajaya, Malaysia's smart city, in the garden today. This sprawling township spans over 11,320 acres and is renowned for its innovative and unique design, blending nature and development seamlessly. Its striking architecture, monuments, and bridges draw inspiration from various architectural styles, including Malay, Moorish, Persian, Islamic-Moghul, and European, making it a visual treat for photography enthusiasts. Despite being 19 years old, Putrajaya boasts vast green wilderness, botanical gardens, and recreation parks, complemented by large bodies of water and wetlands. You can experience the beauty of the lake by taking a relaxing cruise, which highlights the stunning landmarks around the area.

Today, we will drive south to Singapore via Melaka, a historic port city influenced by Portuguese, Dutch, Chinese, and British cultures. Our first stop will be at the iconic St. Paul's Church, which bears the mark of the Portuguese. We'll also visit the formidable Porta de Santiago fortress, built by the Portuguese in 1512. Then, we explore the Dutch Square in the heart of Melaka's Old Town and visit the Christ Church, built-in 1753, to celebrate the centenary of Malacca's capture. After a delicious Peranakan lunch, we'll see the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, a unique place of worship where three major Chinese beliefs are united under one roof. Before heading to Singapore, we'll stroll along Jonker Street, famous for its antiques, souvenirs, and arts and crafts. You'll have plenty of opportunities to shop for unique souvenirs to take back home.

Our city tour begins with a drive through the Civic District, where we'll see iconic landmarks such as the Padang, Singapore Cricket Club, Parliament House, and the National Gallery Singapore. Admire the stunning architecture of the former Supreme Court Building and City Hall, which now house the National Gallery's impressive art collection. Next, we'll visit Merlion Park for a great photo opportunity with the famous half-lion, half-fish statue and enjoy the spectacular views of Marina Bay. Then, we'll head to Thian Hock Keng Temple, one of Singapore's oldest and most important Taoist-Buddhist temples, before driving through Chinatown. Our next stop is the Singapore Botanic Gardens, Singapore's first UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll through the National Orchid Garden, which showcases a collection of over 60,000 orchid plants.
*On Car-Free Sunday, the stop at Merlion Park will be replaced by a stop at Mount Faber.

Explore the city leisurely during the day, followed by an evening Night Out at Marina Bay tour. Visit the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay, the world's largest glass greenhouse, as listed in the 2015 Guinness World Records. Marvel at exotic plants from five continents displayed in nine different gardens, or stroll through the Cloud Forest and admire the stunning indoor waterfall and unique and fragile plants. Learn about rare plants and their disappearing environment. End the night with an exhilarating light and sound show at Supertree Grove and enjoy a bird's-eye view of the city from the Marina Bay Sands Skypark observation deck, perched 656 feet high in the clouds.
