Day 2 | EXPLORR CHIANG MAI'S TREASURES: TEMPLES AND CULTURAL SPLENDORS

Embark on a morning of discovery as you traverse the captivating landmarks of Chiang Mai accompanied by your knowledgeable local guide. Begin your journey with visits to the iconic Wat Chedi Luang, where the soaring, gracefully ruined Lanna-style chedi stands as a testament to history, and Wat Prah Singha, where an awe-inspiring sacred Buddha image reigns within an intricately adorned mosaic-inlaid wihan (sanctuary). Your expedition then takes you to Doi Suthep, a realm encompassing Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, an esteemed shrine renowned for its spiritual significance. Ascend the mountainous terrain along a steep flight of over 300 steps, flanked by verdant greenery and guarded by the artistry of a 16th Century Naga serpent carving. Day 3 | ELEPHANT CAREGIVER FOR A DAY

Experience an unforgettable day as an elephant caregiver at Patara Elephant Farm in Chiang Mai, where you'll form a genuine bond with these majestic creatures. Through guided activities, learn to approach, care for, and communicate with elephants, including health inspections, feeding, bathing, and even riding techniques. Set against the stunning backdrop of Chiang Mai Valley's mountain range, this hands-on program, conducted in English by knowledgeable caregivers, provides a unique adventure and a lasting connection to the well-being of these incredible animals.

Day 4 | CHIANG MAI TO CHIANG RAI: A SCENIC MOUNTAIN EXPEDITION

Embark on a picturesque voyage along meandering mountain routes as you make your way to Chiang Rai, the northernmost gem of Thailand. Traverse these winding paths that offer glimpses of nature's grandeur en route to the city that holds its own unique allure.

Day 5 | CHIANG RAI'S CULTURAL TREASURES

Today, it unveils the captivating allure of Chiang Rai's most renowned gems. At the pinnacle of this expedition stands Wat Rong Khun, the illustrious 'White Temple' conceived by the visionary artist Chalermchai Kositpipat. A culmination of traditional Thai temple architecture and modern artistic expression, this opulent masterpiece gleams with thousands of glistening mirrored glass pieces that magnify its dramatic allure. Our journey then leads us to the ornate Wat Phra Sing, where a replica of the revered Phra Sing Buddha resides in splendor, paying homage to its origin in Chiang Mai. The revered Wat Phra Keow follows, once home to the revered Emerald Buddha during the 13th century. After an enlightening trishaw ride, the afternoon unfolds with a visit to the Hall of Opium—a sprawling educational institution near The Golden Triangle. This multifaceted site embraces an exhibition area, an information hub, and a museum chronicling the history of opium and the far-reaching impact of illicit drugs on this region and the world. Engaging audio-visual aids amplify this educational and thought-provoking attraction.

Day 6 | CHIANG RAI TO PAKBENG VIA THE ENCHANTING MEKONG RIVER

At 6:30 am, we depart early for a 2-hour transfer to the Lao/Thai border crossing. Upon arrival, cross the Friendship Bridge, and after completing the border formalities, a cruise representative will greet you at the Lao immigration office. From there, you'll be transferred to the boat pier to board the cruise for an unforgettable journey downstream along the Mekong River. Enjoy lunch served on board as you take in the stunning scenery. In the afternoon, visit a Kamu minority village to learn about the local culture and traditions. The boat will arrive in Pakbeng in the early evening, where you'll be transferred to your accommodation for the night.

Day 7 | PAKBENG TO LUANG PRABANG: MEKONG'S MYSTICAL PASSAGE

After an early breakfast at your hotel, board the boat as it departs Pakbeng for another scenic day upstream on the Mekong River. Savor lunch on board while enjoying the tranquil surroundings. In the afternoon, visit the renowned Pak Ou Caves, home to thousands of Buddha images, and explore this spiritual and cultural site. Arrive in Luang Prabang in the late afternoon, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

Day 8 | IMMERSING IN LUANG PRABANG'S CULTURE AND SCENIC WONDERS

5:30 AM (Optional): If you choose an early start, join your guide to witness and participate in the daily morning ritual of 'Tak Bat'—offering alms to the monks. This unique tradition is a deeply spiritual experience and an integral part of life in Luang Prabang. Afterward, explore the local fresh market to see how the locals shop before returning to your hotel for breakfast.

In the morning, begin your half-day city tour with a visit to the Royal Palace Museum, where you'll gain insights into the culture and history of this ancient city. Stroll through the peaceful back lanes to the charming Heuan Chan Heritage House, where you can explore its historical artifacts and learn about its connection to the Royal Palace. Enjoy a refreshing iced tea in the garden before continuing to Wat Xiengthong, the country's most historic and enchanting temple, known for its classical Luang Prabang architecture with a roof that sweeps low to the ground. End the morning at the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre (TAEC), where you'll discover the rich and diverse ethnic cultures of Laos. (Note: TAEC is closed on Mondays.). In the afternoon, depart from the city for the stunning Kuang Si Waterfall, where you can cool off with a swim in the turquoise pools or explore the surrounding forest trails. Visit the nearby Bear Rescue Centre dedicated to protecting and rehabilitating the rare Asiatic Black Bear. Return to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon and ascend Mt. Phousi, a sacred hill offering spectacular sunset views and panoramic vistas over Luang Prabang and the Mekong River. After descending from Mt. Phousi, explore the vibrant Night Market, where you can shop for handmade textiles crafted by local and hill tribe artisans. Return to your hotel afterward.

Tip: Bring a towel if you plan to swim at Kuang Si Falls.

Day 9 | LUANG PRABANG TO SIEM REAP

We meet our guide for a short airport transfer for your Siem Reap flight. Upon your afternoon arrival in Siem Reap, the rest of the day is yours to relax or explore at your own pace.

Day 10 | EXPLORING THE MAJESTIC ANGKOR COMPLEX

Embark on a captivating journey through the world-renowned Angkor complex, where ancient temples narrate stories from the 13th to the 19th centuries. Begin your exploration at the grand South Gate, which opens the way to the treasures of this ancient city. Wander through the evocative ruins of Bayon, with its iconic smiling faces, the towering Baphuon, the mystic Phimeanakas, the resplendent Royal Palace, the historic Elephant Terrace, and the enigmatic Leper King Terrace. In the afternoon, visit the awe-inspiring Angkor Wat, an architectural masterpiece that stands as a testament to Khmer ingenuity. Explore its intricate design and carvings, culminating in a breathtaking sunset experience that bathes the temple in a golden glow—a fitting tribute to this exceptional heritage.

Day 11 | DISCOVERING TEMPLES BEYOND ANGKOR THOM

Today's adventure takes you to the captivating temples beyond the walls of Angkor Thom. Begin with a visit to the exquisite 11th-century Temple of Shiva, Banteay Srei, celebrated for its intricate carvings and elegant design. This temple, often called the "Jewel of Khmer Art," is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Next, continue to Banteay Samre, where you'll explore its rich historical and architectural significance. As you journey back, stop at the enchanting Ta Prohm, a temple intertwined with the jungle, creating a mystical atmosphere. Once home to 2,740 monks, this site has remained much as it was when French explorer Henri Mouhot rediscovered it in the early 1850s, offering a glimpse into its storied past.

Day 12 | SIEM REAP TO BANGKOK

Today, bid farewell to Siem Reap as you fly to Bangkok, the bustling city known as Krung Thep or the City of Angels. Upon arrival, your guide will welcome you and escort you to your hotel, where you can unwind in the heart of this vibrant metropolis.

Day 13 | KLONG ADVENTURE & ICONIC LANDMARKS

Embark on an enchanting klong adventure that takes you to the historic heart of Bangkok, Thonburi, located on the western bank of the Chao Phraya River. Board a traditional long-tail wooden boat and navigate the intricate klongs, immersing yourself in the vibrant tapestry of life along Bangkok's waterways. Stop at the National Museum of Royal Barges along the way to marvel at the opulent vessels used in royal processions. Continue your journey to the awe-inspiring Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, where you can admire its towering spires and intricate details, capturing the spiritual essence of this iconic landmark. A serene water crossing brings you to the Grand Palace, which symbolizes ancient Siamese courtly splendor.
